Basic Parts And Materials of A Bevel Gear Screw Jack

A bevel gear machine screw jack replaces the traditional worm gear with a bevel gear set, allowing for higher travel speeds and greater efficiency while typically maintaining the self-locking safety of a machine (trapezoidal) screw. Bevel Gear Set (Drive) Consists of a pair of meshing gears that transfer power at a 90-degree angle. Lifting Screw (Spindle): The threaded rod that provides linear motion. In a machine screw jack, this is a trapezoidal (Acme) screw. Input Shaft: Connects to the motor or handwheel to drive the bevel gears.
