KEMUSEN
An Electric Motor Screw Jack, Also Known As A Motorized Screw Jack, which is a mechanical actuator driven by an electric motor to perform lifting, lowering, pulling, or pushing functions with high precision. They convert the motor's rotary motion into linear motion and are widely used in industrial automation due to their reliability and synchronization capabilities.
Types of Motorized Screw Jacks
Motorized screw jacks primarily come in two main types, each suited for different performance needs.
Machine (Acme/Trapezoidal) Screw Jacks: These are generally self-locking and ideal for low-to-moderate duty cycles and slower speeds. They hold loads indefinitely without creep in the absence of vibration and are a cost-effective solution compared to hydraulics. Ideal for general industrial use, such as machinery alignment, material positioning equipment, and applications in chemical processing plants.
Ball Screw Jacks: Utilizing a rolling ball mechanism, these offer much higher efficiency (up to three times higher), faster operation, and longer operational life. They require significantly less input torque to move the same load compared to acme jacks. Note: Ball screw jacks are generally not self-locking and require a brake motor or an external braking device to hold the load in position when the power is off. Best for applications requiring high precision, frequent use, high speeds, or where energy efficiency is a priority, such as aerospace assembly, automotive automation, and robotics.
Available Motors: Electric screw jacks can be customized with a variety of motors to meet application requirements:
AC Motors: Single-phase or three-phase asynchronous motors are common for general industrial use.
DC Motors: 12v, 24v, or 48v brush or brushless motors are available, often used with gearboxes for specific power needs.
High-Precision Motors: Servo motors or stepper motors are used when precise positioning and motion control are critical, such as in satellite positioning or robotics.
